Some rational arguments are more important than the others; like: the verdict of reason upon the necessity of the guidance of people, explaining and preserving the religion, and the continuance of the Divine grace. After a brief theological explanation of these reasons, we will offer their mystical origins. From the mystical point of view the problem of Imamat ant its necessity is basically a mystical problem and its philosophical explanation is also backed by mystical teachings. In Islamic tradition, the knowledge of Tawhid (unity of God) is bound to the knowledge of Muwahhid (monotheist), a perfect man that by a kind of closeness to God gained by spontaneous acts of devotion has reached to the stage of annihilation in the Divine unity and hence God has become his eyes, ears, and all his existence; and by a kind of closeness to God gained by doing obligations has reached to the stage of survival after annihilation and spiritual sobriety after self-effacement/obliteration and under the direct sovereignty of God he has possessed the place of velayat (guardianship) and absolute lordship by which he can govern over visible and invisible worlds. Such a person as the caliph of God and the mediator of God's grace in the descending arc has to undertake the governance and leadership of people in the ascending arc constantly. در یک نگاه، دلایل وجوب امامت به نقلی و عقلی تقسیم می‌شود و در میان دلایل عقلی نیز برخی اهمیت بیشتری دارد. حکم عقل به لزوم هدایت مردم، تبیین و حفظ دین، و دوام لطف الاهی از آن جمله‌اند. در تحقیق پیش رو می‌کوشیم، بعد از تقریر کلامی این براهین به طور مختصر، مبانی عرفانی این براهین تبیین شود. بر اساس نگرش عرفانی، اصولاً مسئله امامت و ضرورت وجود امام، مسئله‌ای بالذات عرفانی است و حتی تبیین فلسفی آن نیز با رهیافت عرفانی مستحکم می‌شود. از همین رهگذر است که در سنت اسلامی، شناخت توحید در گرو شناخت موحد، یعنی انسان کاملی، قرار داده شده است که بر اثر قرب نوافل فنای ذاتی یافته و خدای تعالی چشم، گوش و همه وجود او شده است، و بر اثر قرب فرائض به بقای بعد از فنا و صحو بعدالمحو رسیده و تحت ربوبیت مستقیم حق تعالی صاحب مقام ولایت و ربوبیت مطلقه می‌شود و می‌تواند در عوالم غیب و شهود تصرف کند. چنین شخصی، ضرورت دارد همواره به عنوان خلیفه خداوند متعال و واسطه فیض او جل جلاله در قوس نزول، امامت و رهبری کاروان انسان‌ها را در قوس صعود نیز عهده‌دار شود. https://pfk.qom.ac.ir/article_111_437dca7168afbc53d4a7b01637cee82f.pdf
