The important point is that Quranic verses and hadiths apparently offer different interpretations. The present paper discusses the issue according to denotation of Quranic verses and hadiths and from the theological viewpoint of Allamah Tabatabaii and his disciples. The unseen has stages and degrees such as hidden from senses like past and future, knowledge of the Book, God-given knowledge, knowledge of the Tablet of obliteration and effacement, guarded Tablet, sciences particular to God such as the time of resurrection, and knowledge of essence about essence. There are two types of reason for the knowledge of the unseen: Rational and philosophical reasons which are based on the perfection and power of the soul to attach to the supreme origin and transmitted reasons some of which generally prove the knowledge of the unseen only for God and others prove it for prophets and friends of God under certain conditions. Some solutions have been proposed to sum up these two views, including division of knowledge into independent and dependent knowledge, guarded Tablet and Tablet of obliteration and effacement, differentiating the meanings of the unseen and so forth. یکی از مباحث مهم درباره علم غیب این است که: علم ائمه (ع) به جهان غیب مطلق و نامحدود است یا محدود؟ نکته مهم این است که در آیات و روایات، تعبیرات به ظاهر متفاوتی دیده می‌شود. در این بحث، علم غیب را طبق دلالت آیات و روایات و از منظر کلامی طباطبایی و شاگردان وی بیان می‌کنیم. غیب دارای مراتب و مراحلی است؛ مثل غیب از حواس مانند گذشته و آینده، علم کتاب، علم لدنی، علم به لوح محو و اثبات، لوح محفوظ، علوم خاص به خدا مثل زمان قیامت، و علم ذات به ذات. ادله علم غیب نیز بر دو قسم است: ادله عقلی و فلسفی که مبتنی بر قدرت و کمال نفس در اتصال به مبدأ عالی است؛ ادله نقلی که برخی علم به غیب را به طور کلی از غیرخدا نفی کرده‌اند و برخی علم را با شرایطی برای انبیا و اولیا ثابت می‌کنند. در جمع بین این دو دسته راهکارهایی عرضه شده است، از جمله: تقسیم علم به استقلالی و تبعی، لوح محفوظ و محو و اثبات، تفکیک بین معانی غیب و مانند آن. https://pfk.qom.ac.ir/article_637_2c47bc3b2fb5f3d6ce89e0a04968cfdb.pdf
