The relationship between reason and faith has always been a controversial issue. Medieval theologians were trying to integrate an understanding of the philosophical and religious faith. Augustine and Anselm and Aquinas tried to understand the rewards of faith agreed to establish coordination between Aristotelian philosophy and Christian revelation.
